WDBS Highlights: 2016 Open Disability Snooker Championship runner-up, 2017 Paul Hunter Disability Classic runner-up
Group 6 player David Mac has been a part of the WDBS family since the 2016 Open Disability Snooker Championship.
At the time of writing he has twice finished as runner-up at WDBS events in his classification and has also visited events such as the World Championship as part of our World Disability Snooker Day activities.
Away from snooker, David, who has recently been diagnosed, at 15, as having both intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder, is equally passionate about playing music. He plays classical, folk and jazz on both piano and accordion. He has performed as music soloist, piano accompanist and improviser at the Royal College, London Palladium, Barbican, Ronnie Scott’s jazz club, the Albany and for festivals in Walthamstow, Woodford, Chingford, Loughton and Highams Park. He also played with Heart N Soul in Lewisham and at EFDSS, Camden. He will perform jazz with Heart N Soul at the Southbank in autumn 2018.
