Bob Hill is a WPBSA World Snooker Coach and has worked in sports development since 2006. In his current role for the Sport and Active Lifestyles Team at North Somerset Council, he has responsibility for developing initiatives to support disabled people and older adults to take up sport. He started his career at Middlesex Football Association after graduating with an MA from the University of Warwick.
Bob has been a lifelong fan of snooker as well as playing the game, representing England Universities before embarking on coaching. He coaches a range of groups and individuals, and runs a regular club for adults with learning disabilities in Bristol. He also has an interest in other sports, including football and tennis. He is a member of the Somerset FA Inclusion Advisory Group.
In 2017 Bob joined the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association as its Club and Facilities Manager.
