Entry is now open for the 2025 Irish Open which will be held at the Snooker and Billiards Ireland HQ in Carlow on 21-23 November.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

The three-day tournament will be the third ranking event of the 2025/26 season and will welcome players from all eight classification groups. Players will compete against players within their own classification group only.

Players will be expected to play on Friday (first matches 1pm) unless they can demonstrate exceptional circumstances. Any requests must be made before the event entry deadline (14 November 2024). Subject to the number of players, it may not be possible to accommodate requests to begin Saturday.

There will be an Open Day held on the Friday from approximately 10am until 12:30pm.

HOTEL & TRAVEL

Information and advice with regards to travel and hotel options can be found within the event entry pack.

The nearest airport is Dublin Airport, located approximately 1.5 hours from the venue. Alternatively, ferry options are available with both Rosslare and Dublin located a 1.5 hour drive from the venue.

Transfers will be on offer with all players entering the event to be be contacted directly requesting their travel information.

Carlow’s Talbot Hotel is the official event hotel. When booking please contact the hotel to state that you are with the WDBS snooker group.

HOW TO ENTER

Entry for all WDBS events is made through the WPBSA SnookerScores website:

  1. Determine your classification and choose your event: Your disability must fall under one of our 36 WDBS Classification Profiles, which have been grouped into eight ‘Groups’ for competition.
  2. Download the Event Entry Form: Once you have decided which event you would like to enter, read the entry form (linked above) and the latest WDBS Standard Conditions of Entry attached to it.
  3. Enter Online: All event entries are to be made through the WPBSA SnookerScores website. Either register or log in to your existing account and select the event that you wish to enter from the WDBS organisation page or from the ‘My Player’ section of your account.
  4. Pay the Entry Fee: Once you have entered the event, you can pay your entry fee online via the ‘My Payments’ section of your account.

Your entry will only be formally accepted upon receipt of your online entry AND payment of your entry fee by the event entry deadline.
