Bio

Joe Hardstaff is a four-time WDBS event winner and back-to-back Champion of Champions in Group 3.

Hardstaff, who has Phocomelia, is one of the longest-serving players on the tour having made his debut in the second ever WDBS event, the 2016 Manchester Classic, but he had to wait seven years for his first major success when he defeated Kal Mattu 3-1 to win the 2023 Hull Open.

He quickly followed this up with victory in the following event, the Champion of Champions, where he once again overcame Mattu 6-3 to secure the prestigious title.

A third triumph and Hardstaff’s first overseas crown came at the 2024 Belgian Open in Bruges.

Twelve months on from his first Champion of Champions crown, Hardstaff mounted a stunning comeback from 4-1 down against Mattu at the Landywood Snooker Club to defend his title in a dramatic deciding frame.
