Bio

Kal Mattu has been a part of the WDBS tour since it’s inaugural event and is a top ranked player in the ambulant Group 3 classification.

One of 19 cueists to compete at the 2015 Open Disability Championship in Gloucester, Mattu had to wait a further eight years for the first ranking event title when he defeated Kit Kennedy 4-0 to win the 2022 Stockport Open.

A 3-1 victory over Joe Hardstaff in Bruges the following year saw Mattu win his second and, to date, most recent title at the 2023 Belgian Open and he remains a strong competitor – reaching a total of 14 finals on the WDBS tour.

Mattu also represented his country in the 2023 World Abilitysport Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand where he was eliminated from a group that featured eventual gold medalist Thanapol Seekao.
