World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) has today announced that entry is now open for the 2026 World Disability Snooker Championship as the event is set to return to Thailand from 17-21 June.

The most prestigious event in disability snooker will be organised in conjunction with the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King (SPADT), Billiards and Snooker Association of Thailand (BSAT) and snooker’s world governing body the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association.

In 2026 the Championship will be held at the SPADT Convention Centre in Nakhon Ratchasima, the venue which previously hosted the opening ceremony at the 2023 World Abilitysport Games where snooker returned to a multisport Games for the first time since the 1988 Paralympics.

Last year’s successful event marked a significant milestone 10 years on from the foundation of WDBS and saw 66 players from 15 countries take part, as Gary Swift, Surasit Loisaratrakul, Thanapol Seekao, Carl Gibson, Songkiat Raebankoo, Kristof De Bruyn and Dylan Rees claimed the inaugural world titles.

Format

The event will run across six days in total from 16-21 June, with the opening day to include classification and practice ahead of the start of the first matches on 17 June.

All players must attend from 16 June to be eligible to compete in the tournament.

Hotel

The official designated hotel for the tournament is:

  • Kantary Hotel Korat – 899/1 Mittraphap Road, Tambol Nai Muang, Amphor Muang, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand 30000

All players MUST stay at this hotel and MUST book directly through WDBS. Players who book through any third-party agency or platform will not be permitted to compete.

WDBS will contribute two nights at a shared room rate for each player participating in the event and one essential carer for those that require.

Full information can be found within the event entry pack.
