World Disability Billiards & Snooker (WDBS) is now inviting players to express their interest in competing at the inaugural World Abilitysport Guttman Games in Finland this August.
To be held in the Pajulahti district from 16-21 August 2026, the Guttman Games will showcase the best of sports on offer for athletes with physical impairments (our groups 1-5) that are not currently on the Paralympic programme.
Snooker will once again be included at a multisport Games, having successfully featured at the 2023 World Abilitysport Games in Thailand.

Entry for the event is now open and all players who would like to attend (Groups 1-5) are asked to contact us by email to formally express their interest in competing at the Games.
The deadline for expressions of interest to be received is 12pm on Friday 29 May 2026. Any expressions after this date will not be considered.

WDBS is also pleased to announce a total event prize fund of £8,000, with the distribution across each of the five classification groups set to be as follows:
WDBS will pay €320 per player towards the accommodation costs. This equates to two nights in a shared room.
An additional fund has been set aside to support travel costs for players from outside of the UK and Europe. This can be accessed by application to WDBS. Further information on this will follow soon.
Further information about the event can be found in the official Entry Information Pack issued by World Abilitysport.
