Twelve nations across three continents will be represented at the 2026 World Disability Snooker Championship in Thailand later this month.

A total of 51 players will compete at the SPADT Convention Centre in Korat, Thailand as cueists aim to become the world champion across seven classification groups.

All seven inaugural winners are among the line-up as they look to defend their titles.

This includes the host nation trio of Surasit Loisaratrakul, Thanapol Seekao and Songkiat Raebankoo, as well as the English duo of Gary Swift and Carl Gibson – plus Belgium’s Kristof De Bruyn and Ireland’s Dylan Rees.

There will also be representation for Denmark at a World Disability Snooker Championship for the first ever time as reigning European champion Niklas Olsen represents his country on the biggest stage.

The Groups

The event will see seven tournaments staged, with separate competitions held for players from Groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6A.

Due to entry numbers received, Groups 6B, 7 and 8 will be merged to play a single tournament. This is subject to change should entry numbers change prior to the start of the event.

Appropriate point starts will be applied within this group in the interest of fair competition and will be confirmed prior to the start of the event.

Following the conclusion of the group stages, there will also be a Challenge Cup tournament held for players who do not qualify for the knockout stages.

“Global Status”

Nigel Mawer QPM, WDBS Chairman, said: “We are delighted to see such a strong and worldwide line-up for the second staging of the World Disability Snooker Championship.

“To welcome players from 12 nations across three continents reaffirms the global status of the WDBS Tour and our flagship event.

“I look forward to meeting all of the players and officials in Thailand for what promises to be another memorable event on our journey.”

The 2026 World Disability Snooker Championship takes place on 16-21 June and you can follow the event via WPBSA SnookerScores.
