WDBS International Disability Snooker Invitational 2026 | Tournament Information
Tournament information is now available for the 2026 WDBS International Disability Snooker Invitational, which takes place at the Hengshan Park Hotel in Shanghai, China from 25-27 July.
The event is being run in partnership with Shanghai Billiards Association (SHBA), China Administration of Sports for Persons with Disabilities (CASPD) and the Chinese Billiards & Snooker Association (CBSA).
THE FIELD
A total of 17 international invitees from eight nations will compete at the invitational event in Shanghai alongside local cueists selected by the CASPD.
Among the international players will be Thanapol Seekao (Group 3), Songkiat Raebankoo (Group 5) and Dylan Rees (Group 7) – who each retained their world titles in Thailand earlier this year, as well as newly crowned world champion James Hart (Group 6B).

FORMAT
The event will feature six competitions across the classifications Group 1+2, Group 3, Group 4, Group 5, Group 6A and Group 6B+7+8.
The competition will be contested under the six-red format, with a round robin group phase followed by a final in each group (the combined Group 6B+7+8 event will also feature semi-finals).
NATIONAL DISABILITY PROMOTION EVENT
In addition to the invitational tournament, there will be taster sessions taking place during the event for novice players to help promote disability snooker in China.
Activities will include:
- Explanation of Competition Rules (General Snooker Basics, Grading and Grouping, Event Organisation, etc.)
- On-site technical action explanation, guidance, and hands-on practice
- Self-Skill Improvement Training
- Group discussion competition. Post-match review guidance (alternating rotations)
