The official WDBS rankings have been updated following the 2026 Hull Open at the Tradewell Snooker Club.

The WDBS ranking system includes individual ranking lists for each of the main classification groups, with players earning points from based upon their finishing position at designated ranking tournaments.

The rankings operate on a rolling two-year basis, with points earned during 2023/24 to be removed during the course of this season. At this revision points earned at the 2026 Hull Open were added with points from the 2024 Hull Open removed.

HULL IS NUMBER ONE

Peter Hull plays a snooker shot

There is a new world number one in Group 3 as Peter Hull reaches the summit of the ranking list for the first time in his career.

Despite not competing in Hull, the back-to-back Belgian Open champion has benefited from the absence of 2024 Hull Open champion Daniel Kelly – who slips to second after losing maximum points at the latest cut off.

Hull will head to Thailand for next month’s World Disability Snooker Championship as the world number one and remains on course for a debut appearance at the Champion of Champions in July.

CHAMPIONS CLIMB

Dominic Crookes plays a snooker shot

Three of the recently-crowned Hull Open champions have climbed in the world ranking lists as a result of their success at the Tradewell Snooker Club.

Dominic Crookes is the biggest mover, climbing from 18th to sixth in Group 6A after defeating Aidan Pollitt to win his maiden WDBS title in Hull.

Another impressive display from Reece Matin has seen him move up three places to a career-high of fourth in Group 6B, while there is also a one-place climb to fourth for Nigel Coton in Group 3 after he won his first WDBS title in over two years.

KEY MOVERS

Aidan Pollitt plays a snooker shot

A second consecutive ranking event final for Group 6A’s Aidan Pollitt has seen him move up to second position.

Having defeated world number one Mohammed Faisal Butt in the knockout stages, Pollitt lost out in the final to Dominic Crookes but did enough to climb into the Champion of Champions qualification positions above Scotland’s Alan Reynolds.

David Moritz has risen to a career-high of sixth position in Group 5, up five places, after reaching the final at the Tradewell Snooker Club before losing out to Dave Bolton in the title match.

Lee Overton has also moved into the top 10 in Group 4 after a run to the semi-finals, while debutants Mark Patrick (Group 4) and Nathan Collings (Group 5) enter at 15th and 17th respectively after reaching the last four.

There are also positive moves for Steve Cartwright (Group 4) and David Grant (Group 7), who both now sit in fifth position, while Michael Busst is up from 14th to 10th in Group 6A.
